Our Delicious Story
Ugali Jiko was founded by 4 Rafikis- “friends' ' (Margaret, Alex, Ramesh & Varman), Ugali Jiko is more than just a mobile kitchen; it is a celebration of East African comfort food. Passion and love of food is the foundation of why Ugali Jiko was established.
The name "Ugali JIKO" itself holds a story – "ugali" represents the staple dish, and "JIKO" symbolizes the traditional cooking method. The Rafikis’ dream is to bring the warmth of homemade meals to the bustling streets of London, one plate of Ugali at a time.
